The Independent Root and Branch Care Review will identify and deliver lasting change in the care system in Scotland, leaving a legacy that transforms the wellbeing of children and young people experiencing the system.
The wisdom of people is at the very heart of the Review, and the Chair and Discovery Team want to know about people’s lived experiences. There are World Cafes being held across Scotland to start a conversation nationally. At these events, the team want to engage particularly with professionals, including corporate parents and potentially beyond; those directly providing managed services, and across all sectors (such as housing, social services, health, education, Children’s Hearings Scotland, Scottish Children’s Reporters, justice, research and policy, etc.).
The World Cafes will be taking place in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire throughout September. These are free to attend and registration is on a first-come-first-served basis.
