Staf is a community of professionals working to improve the future of care-experienced young people in Scotland.
Our membership is open to everyone who has corporate parenting responsibilities or works directly with care experienced young people.
As the only membership organisation of its kind in Scotland, we provide a channel for young people, frontline staff, managers and strategic leaders to share good practice, influence policy and champion the concerns and needs of local services at a national level.
“I want everyone to gain an understanding of how hard and difficult it is being in care – with what I needed and the correct support would have benefitted me.”
Care-experienced young person in Dundee
Our membership community keeps us up-to-date with current good practice, and gives us a direct link to all frontline staff. This makes Staf an effective advocate for care experienced young people and the professionals who support them.
“Listening to young people, understanding the legislation, meeting with colleagues and being challenged by academics makes for a brilliant mix.”
Danny Logue, Operations Director, Skills Development Scotland.
