As part of our Project Return pilot, Staf are pleased to offer another opportunity to attend our Changing Minds, Changing Lives course with Gerald Neil on 19th September 2018 at the Albert Halls in Stirling.

Gerald Neil, himself care-experienced, is a successful accountant, family man and qualified stress and relaxation therapist and an affiliate member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Gerald is passionate that we all have access to the same techniques that work.

Over the course of three hours he will help to deepen our understanding of how we can support recovery from trauma and give us tools and techniques that will help us remain emotionally available regardless of the pressure.

Course Content

  • How the brain works in handling stress
  • How to develop strategies to downgrade the effects of stress quickly
  • How to spot the physical and psychological symptoms of stress and apply techniques to manage the stress response to perceived adversity
  • How to use self-induced relaxation to boost confidence and self-esteem
  • How to stop living by the memories of the past and become excited about the possibilities of the future

We received phenomenal feedback from this fully-booked course in May:

"Hearing such an inspirational story of how a disadvantaged background can be overcome gave me a great feeling of hope."

"It has truly given me hope and inspiration to take that renewed energy back to my colleagues and young people."
