Meeting since 2014, the Implications of Continuing Care focus group offers a safe place to discuss issues and practice arising from Part 11 of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.

At this meeting we will be sharing best practice and discussing how we, together, can overcome current issues: from ensuring adequate funding and resources, to ending the postcode lottery faced by young people.

We will be joined from colleagues in Fife who will share their current developments and good practice. Clan ChildLaw who have a new ‘Care Leavers’ Rights Projectwill also be with us to share this new work.

Who Should Attend?

Scottish Government, Care Inspectorate, CELCIS, and those working in Throughcare and Aftercare teams, foster care, residential care and kinship care.

Terms

Payment is required prior to the event commencing, is non-refundable and non-transferable to any other event or programme. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 5-9 working days prior to event: 50% of the fee will be payable
  • 3-4 working days prior to event: 75% of the fee will be payable
  • Less than 3 working days prior to event: 100% of the fee will be payable
