Salary: £30,795-£35,361
Contract: Full Time 35 hours per week
Status: Fixed term until 31st March 2020 (with the opportunity to become permanent on securing further funding)

With Staf’s aim of reaching a wider audience, creating political influence and providing our members with relevant and up to date information, we are looking for an experienced policy and communications manager to lead in this area.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the design and delivery of a marketing and communications strategy, with policy influence woven throughout. You will be proactive in the delivery of the wider corporate strategy, keeping members fully informed and engaged whilst ensuring our young people’s voice informs all that we do. 

You will manage a small team with a range of skills and experience. You will use your superbly stocked communications toolkit to ensure delivery of modern, effective and integrated communications, and use your high quality written and visual content skills to produce engaging material that persuade and move people to action.

As a key aim of the organisation, you will help establish and implement a strategy for sharing of best practice throughout the sector, using appropriate media and mechanisms to reach all necessary audiences, particularly in the wider Corporate Parenting sector.

Staf (the Scottish Throughcare and Aftercare Forum) exists to change and improve the life opportunities of all young people leaving care by working with front line practitioners and managers, and providing a voice for care experienced young people. As a membership organisation, we host national events where we bring together the people who know what needs to change and then work with influencers who can make the changes happen.
