Relationships play an integral part of everyone's lives and throughout our entire lifetime. This project, the Importance of Relationships, was created to highlight the importance of relationships in the lives of care-experienced young people as they grow up and after they have left the care system. We know that positive and sustained relationships are key to ensuring that care-experienced young people go on to lead happy and successful lives on their own terms.
During the project, we interviewed care-experienced young people alongside one person who has made a difference in their lives. Each interview consisted of four questions:
Throughout this project, it was clear that even just one positive and consistent relationship in a care-experienced young person's life can make a world of difference.
