Young Funder's Grant

Applications are now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied. We received a huge amount of interest and have now called all successful applicants. All those who were unsuccessful have been contacted. Please see below for additional funding options.

The grant – including it’s criteria, and guidance- was entirely created by a steering group of care experienced people, and will be assessed by a team of care experienced people, with guidance from our staff.

Additional Funding Opportunities 

Here's some information about additional funds open to people with care experience which may be of interest. 


Scottish Welfare Fund

The Scottish Welfare Fund helps families and people in Scotland who are on low incomes.

You can apply for a:

  • Crisis Grant – if you're in crisis because of a disaster (like a fire or flood), or an emergency (like losing your money or job, or an unexpected expense)
  • Self-Isolation Support Grant - if you've been asked to self-isolate by Test and Protect because of coronavirus (COVID-19) and will lose income as a result
  • Community Care Grant – to help you or someone you care for to start to live, or to carry on living, a settled life in the community


Aberlour Urgent Assistance Fund - CURRENTLY CLOSED 

Aberlour’s Urgent Assistance Fund can provide cash grants to help families with children (aged 21 and under) who are suffering extreme hardship, including the impact of the Coronavirus.
