On Thursday 27 October 2022 the Cross Party Group on Care Leavers met to discuss financial security for care leavers. We heard from Martin Canavan at Aberlour on the idea of a Guaranteed Income for care leavers in Scotland. We also heard from Dr Matthew Smith from Strathclyde University on the connection between financial insecurity and poor mental health.
