We are thrilled that our Chair, CEO of Aberlour Child Care Trust and long-standing friend and supporter, SallyAnn Kelly has received an OBE for services to families in Scotland.

SallyAnn’s passion and commitment to families has been evident throughout her career and as Chair of the Staf Board she has championed the rights and needs of young people leaving care and the workforce who support them.

We have been very fortunate to work closely with SallyAnn on a number of campaigns, most recently on a Guaranteed Income pilot for Care Leavers, and her contributions to our conferences and events have always been met with huge appreciation from those attending. As our Chair she ensures Staf has the voices and experience of young people at its heart and its’ her lifelong dedication to families, in all senses of the word, which sets her out from the crowd and makes her such a worthy recipient of the OBE.

Congratulations SallyAnn and thank you for all that you do.

“For as long as I have known her, SallyAnn has been an emphatic advocate for children and families, and as the Chair of the Staf Board is unwavering in her governance that we must do better for those of us with lived experience of care. SallyAnn is a ‘well kent face’ in the children and families sector and I’m sure colleagues and peers will join us in marking this moment with her.”

Congratulations SallyAnn and thank you for all that you do.
