We are delighted to announce that we are welcoming two highly experienced individuals to the Staf team.

Firstly, we are over the moon to share that Pamela Graham, who was previously Staf’s Head of Learning and Development for 15 years up until 2021, is returning as our new Head of Operations. This is a new role for Staf and will see Pamela draw on her wealth of experience to enable our small staff team to meet our organisational ambitions for care experienced people and their supporters.

Pamela said

“I am really delighted to be returning to Staf an organisation and cause close to my heart with big ambitions for transforming lives for care experienced young people and those that support them. I am looking forward to reconnecting with all the members in the coming months and hearing from the young people involved in all the projects. The opportunity to work with the dedicated and passionate staff team and board again is a real privilege.“

In addition to Pamela’s return, we are also thrilled to be welcoming Thomas Carlton to the Staf team; Thomas will be joining us on secondment as part of The Promise Scotland’s Strategic Work Programme. Thomas will be working closely with Pamela and Staf’s CEO Jo Derrick, on a collaborative programme of work, to lead a holistic approach to ensuring that young people with care experience are well supported in making the transitions into adulthood. Thomas starts with us in July and therefore more information will follow in due course about the detail of this work and how you can be involved.

Thomas said

“I have always admired the work done by STAF and I am really looking forward to working with them. The project I will be leading is a pivotal part of keeping the promise and I know that the values and expertise of the team will be invaluable on delivering these. I am really looking forward to working with not just colleagues at STAF, but across many different organisations as part of this role.”
