Individual Associate Membership

Who is the Membership For?

Staf's Individual Associate Membership is open at people who have an active interest in throughcare and aftercare support for young people leaving care. Members will include:

  • Adults with care experience who wish to support Staf’s work
  • Individuals who have left a member organisation but who wish to remain in contact with us
  • People working in the sector in a non-member organisation

What are the benefits of membership?

Individual Associate Membership is a means of keeping in touch with Staf, so we will email you a newsletter at least 3 times a year. You will also receive advance notification of Staf events, which you are welcome to come along to (for the non-discounted fee).

Additionally, as a member of Staf, you will be entitled to attend any governance-related general meetings, such as the Annual General Meeting, where you would be entitled to vote on appointments to the Board of Trustees. With the backing of 2 current Board Members, you could even be nominated to become a Trustee.

Can I attend Staf events?

You would be more than welcome to attend Staf events, such as Practitioners' Gatherings, Managers' Forums, Focus Groups and Summer Conference. However, there will be a charge for attending these events, as indicated on event publications, and will be asked to pay the 'non-member' non-discounted rate.
